LEGAL (kind of)

All this filters are FREE. I'm not going even to ask you send some money if you
find it useful (sure nobody will do anyway). So feel free to distribute it, as a
whole package or partially; I just recommend you to keep this text together
with filters.

All this set provided just "to keep the discussion going". I mean discussion dealing
with Filter Factory started by Alfredo Mateus on KPT forum. You're encouraged to attend,
bring your suggestions, ideas, filters.
I would be very glad to know that after exploring these filter examples you decided to
build your own and succeeded. I'm very interested to hear your opinions and see your ideas.
As a first step, you may say any suggestion about improvement these filters.

Note: sourcecodes not included in this packages. But all sourcecodes are available
on personal request (just one more silly trick to make you say something about it, you see).
If you really find it useful, or interesting, or gonna modify and improve it yourself, just
contact me at ilyich@cacr.ioc.ac.ru or lyceum@fbsd.dnttm.rssi.ru (in latter case don't
forget to place "For Ilyich" as a topic!) and I will share it with you.

How to use this filter set.

Just unpack zip into your Photoshop plugins directory. Then explore what they do.
All this filters have Win95 longnames, so I recommend you to use WinZip to keep them
intact. All filenames starts with small "t" so you can easily locate and delete any if
you don't like it.

This filter set is a small example of "Toadies" collection. I tried to put here
only the filters you may REALLY need. Although I produced some filters
for tonal adjustments, weird colour shifts and so on, I used them most as FFactory
codes and not going to send all this mess to you. I also have a great use from some
transparency filters, but sure many people build the same, so I'm not going just
copy it for you and add some more useless categories/filters. All filters included
into this set are not supposed to impress you. I constructed it having others goals
in mind - i.e. making some frequent operations easy.

Filters description:

Grey removal BOOST
Calculates max among channels, boosts it up to 255 and boosts others channels
proportionally. This way any greyshades are converted to white, and grey
component removed from any colours. Very useful for "getting colour from
texture" for subsequent multiplying it onto another texture.

Blast 'em!
Diffuse filter working in settings range from very subtle to image_size/2.
Accurate preview (fine as much as possible in FFactory). I prefer to use it
instead of ordinary Photoshop "Diffuse".

Banding suppress noise
Special noise filter. Produces brighteness-controlled noise, also tones down
most bright parts of image. Particular use - output to poor media like inkjet
printer (I apply it instead of multystep technique I used before).

Metalwork
Special effect filter. To my mind, works much better than ordinary Gallery
Effects Vol. 1 Chrome. But getting the effect you need may take some
playing with settings.

Black shadow
For proper work requires transparency information. Create the objects you
want on a transparent background or make a holes in objects. Then launch this
filter to make a black transparent shadow from the object. Filter do not
create blurred shadows, but antialiases it 1 pixel. Well, maybe one of you guys
will provide it with simple, effective and fast blur and lead Alien Skin worry?
Share your sourcecode with me then...
